Hosted an appreciation dinner for the 15 retiring PAP MPs last night.
I thanked the MPs for all that they had done, looking after their voters on the ground, and speaking up for them in Parliament. I particularly thanked them for helping their successors to take over, connect with the residents and establish themselves.
It is not possible to perform well as an MP without strong support from home. So I also thanked the families and spouses of the retiring MPs. I hope that your loved ones will now have more time to spend with you! :) – LHL
